Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all survived Super Bowl Sunday. All of us have to feel better than the Denver Broncos.
Today I have the distinct pleasure of introducing a fellow PDMI author, Etta Jean. Etta is definitely feeling good these days. She has a new novel coming out later this month titled: Chronicle of Summer.
Etta is a fun loving, young woman, with a great many accomplishments to her credit. She is a writer, published author and photographer.
Etta loves nature, therefore, her camera is a natural addition on long walks and hikes. She is a daughter, sister, friend, fantasy addict, romantic, small city girl, with a big imagination.
That imagination is what makes her good at her craft. I urge you to check out the talented Etta Jean, today.
Etta has graciously provided a short bio and an excerpt from her, soon to be released novel: Chronicle of Summer. So, without further ado, here’s Etta.
Etta Jean was born in Sacramento, California and destined from birth to be a bard. She told tall tales while devouring the creative worlds of others until she finally had to create her own. She has seen both good and evil in her life, and her stories, like life, have no half measures. Her happy endings never come without cost, though, for she truly believes we can’t appreciate the good and the joy without the bad and the pain along the way. Her current haunt is a comfy house in her beloved hometown where she wrangles three feline fur-kids while constantly overbooking her calendar. If she’s not chained to her desk, she’s stomping through the scenery in search of equally fantastical photographs.
Slightly Steamy Excerpt:
“We need to bond. I need to feed on your power.” He brushed his lips over her shoulder and a soft red aura instantly began to rise as her power emanated in a physical way. It shimmered and danced like flames. “Are you afraid?”
“Not of you.” Her eyes closed as his lips sipped delicately along her skin. The little shivers of delight were completely foreign but she wasn’t afraid of them either. They felt utterly right.
Unable to resist the temptation, he began to breathe in her power and drink it from her tender skin. He followed the trail as it went down her arm. His lips teased the lines along the inside of her arm and traced their shape. Her power tasted wild and spicy, stinging his tongue lightly but exploding with flavor after. His free hand smoothed compulsively over her side and shaped the curve of her hip.
He slowly traced his lips back up to her shoulder then brushed them over her face. He moved steadily toward her lips. “I’m going to kiss you,” he warned, his lips a breath from hers. “Do you mind?”
She didn’t answer with words. She simply wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pressed upward to take his lips with hers. She had never kissed anyone before. She had never wanted to. This man . . . she wanted. She wanted to kiss him with a vengeance that was as much emotional as it was physical.
